have you ever looked into any of the adhesives they use in autobody. 3m, lord fusor, evercoat and valvoline all make really good products. probly the best would be the evercoat since that one dont take a special gun, just a typical calking gun is all you need.

Remove whatever boat anchor is under your hood and insert a 5.0 or a 4.6.

Well, both I suppose. I had my old dp wrapped, and it really looked like hell after one winter, so I'm not really interested in that again. I'll probably just wind up installing it as is. At least the cat isn't in the engine bay with the new pipe (going from a CNT to a Cobb).

Yes I know what rotating mass is. NEVER would have guessed that they weigh close to 10lbs though. Shit, that's like spinning an extra wheel.
Hello all. I bought a 1997 civic EX manual coupe with a spun bearing and a locked up motor. After a week and a half search, I have not been able to find a y8 but rather a y7 from a local junkyard for a good price with a 90 day warranty. I am not interested in modifying this car, but flipping it, and random muggles on craigslist will not care if it has vtec. The original intent was to use the y7 bottom end and the y8 head, but I don't want to go to the trouble of taking the head off if the y7 is good. Can I use the y7 head and block in an EX without throwing a check engine light? I assume if I use the DX ECU, it wont be searching for vtec oil pressure signal and wont throw a CEL, can anyone verify this for me. Thanks!
The carbon tracks looks like it had been leaking for the previous owner, I had that same bolt back out on me on my car and leaked enough to tell right away. Should be enough clearance to drill that hole and use an allen headed bolt. I don't know how much room you are working with to get at it though.

I've never done anything on that scale but I have welded plastic before (usually just cracks in water tanks for sprayers on the farm). The process is simple really for fixing cracked plastic - just grind a "V" into the cracked area and then with a soldering iron w/ plastic weld tip on it just heat up the plastic welding rod and push the molten plastic into the aforementioned "V" making sure to heat(melt) the original material as well to blend it all together. I'm assuming the same process would be required for a new construction custom holding tank like you need as well. If it were my project I'd give it a try myself, but since it is someone else's I wouldn't feel comfortable doing this.

Precision Wheel Service 10921 Excelsior Blvd. #106. Hopkins, MN 55343 (952) 881-3010. Toll-free: (800) 255-6973 I've used these guys before and they were honest and did a good job. However, Wheel's America, did the best damn job I've ever seen on two of my wheels that I had bent.

Have you talked to the seller? I was assuming the car is a manual but either way it's all doable, Anyway's here's a few handy links for transmission stuff. Gear ratios: http://spda-online.ca/modules/tinycontent/rewrite/tc_28.html http://www.northursalia.com/techdocs/trannychart/trannychart.pdf And like anything on the internet, need to do your own research, I am finding some discrepancies, mostly what actually got put in the Legacy Outbacks with manuals.

Has it been tuned for all of these modifications?? Ignition or fueling would be the likely causes.

Through friends, I've heard the cheapest is Dave's Tire in West Fargo. But, the post above me has some pretty solid advice I'd def consider.

If there winter wheels, I wouldn't spend the money most shops would charge for wheel repair. If you want to make them look nice you could do a lil repair yourself and have them powder coated.
