All basecoat is flat. If you want a matte finish use a flattening agent in the clear. Im not sure what you are going for but if you want a satin finish its easier to just use a single stage like Hot Rod Flats. If you want gloss go with a good base clear system.

If it's carbed, you can swap in a weber carburetor for a few hundred bucks, makes a difference. These cars come standard with a vacuum hose nightmare under the hood. More information than you'll ever need is at www.3geez.com. The cars are near bulletproof when treated right, but if it needs a new tranny, chances are it hasn't been treated right. A few guys have done B-series swaps, if I remember right.
