Winter mods 2009-10
-
Will be doing the following;
Mini-tub to get some 315-60-15 Radial tires to fit.
Crank trigger for the ignition.
Would like to;
Possibly upgrade to DFI GEN VII fron GEN VII
Get rid of the two electric fuel pumps Weldon 2035 and the ACCEl pump and get a belt drive.
Drop fuel pressure from 60 psi to 43 psi and get rid of the 160 lbr's and put in some 225's
2-speed 400 or a glide
will add to the list later. -

So with winter being here, what mods do you plan to do over the winter?? (lets try to keep this thread from turning into almost every other thread on FS in the winter, i know it won't happen, but oh well)No major plans for me, but changing up engine managment, fixing a few little bits probably, and since Im gonna be in Chicago quite a bit, probably make it looks as shitty as possible so hopefully it doesn't get stolen. Other than that, run it for another year and hope nothing breaks....
You should try to find some stock wheels and pick up a rusty hood to slap on your teg. Do you have a garage to keep her safe?
I'm just collecting parts this winter, and praying for a early spring.

I already have plans for that, i think it will come out kinda cool. If you find any wheels for cheap tho, let me know, steelies are fine too. Im not exactly sure what Im doing, either a garage or store it in the trailer somewhere as safe as possible.

WRX: Ipikes, sti pink injectors or 07 wrx injectors, fuel pump, and retune for more powa! If that doesn't cut it, I will be adding some +10hp stickers
240:Nardi Personal Steering Wheel and all the stuff to make it work, TunerproRT ECU with Nistune tuning softwear and then dyno tunez!

Complete audio/video overhaul (lightweight package this time around), coilovers, rebuilt bottom end, cams, springs, retainers, valves, fuel rails, fuel pump, injectors, secondary injectors, TGV delete...along with the rest of the supporting mods. I'm sure I'll break my car early on in the season though.
Edit: Forgot to mention: New pea-shooter. PTE-6262 Billet

Aren't you running a 335-x-15 now?My list:
The hope is to have most of the parts ordered and ready to install once it warms up. Probably won't have the car back in Fargo until all the snow is gone and its rained a couple times. I want to be track ready by mid-may.
17x9/10.5 FR500 wheels with 275/40/17 and 315/35/17 NT-05s (unless I change my mind again).
Swap mechanical oil pressure gauge out for electric because its been nothing but problems with leaks.
Wideband (probably Innovate LC-1/DB guage kit)
E-85
Hope I have enough fuel for E85
Dyno time
Finish stringing some wires inside and put the interior back together
Do some more reading on the twEECer R/T.
Hope the paxton makes it through the season.Hopefully:
Swap 3-bolt Steeda C/C plates for Maximum Motorsports 4-bolt plates (maybe)
Battery relocate to trunk and move/rewire MSD to old battery location (needs to be rewired either way).Maybe:
Maximum Motorsports lower control arms if I have troubles fitting the 315sWe'll see how much I actually get done. I'd like to pick up a trailer sometime between now and May too.
I'm afraid I'll accidentally end up pulling the car half apart for some odd reason and not have it back together until August. -
Whole new car. 400whp dd is the goal

You should add those either way :icon_cheers:Speaking of which, I think I need a freshened up one, add that to the things to do over the winter.....

collect parts for the scoob (put on after winter's over)- still need side skirts, rear bumper (waiting till spring), rear spats and wing (don't know what version yet). And save up for a swap next spring...
ruckus - (not winter, but soon as the snow melts and it gets warm again) stretch, do a touch up job on the seat, and maybe a rear coilover and exhaust.

Finished rebuilding the gt-40 heads i got last summer, picked up a MSD ignition system, and now looking for some 24lb injectors and a calibrated MAF for the stang.
