yes, but nascar drivers get to change tires, F1 does not (ok...they can change ONE tire per race...not one set, one tire.) Trust me traction control doesn't prevent spinouts in F1, they get loose plenty often as well.

f1 tires actually last the whole race, nascar's HAVE to change tires or they'll blow em all the time...unless goodyear comes up with some pimp shit tires for them...

well, last year F1 could make tire changes (3 I think, someone wanna chime in on this that knows for sure), they found a way to run w/o a tire change...they did it through research and driver skill

I think they should show more Sprint cars... 800 hp, 1800 lbs and a hell of a lot more wrecks than nascar or any other cars... they are fun to watch constant passing, no straight line shit...

yeah and that's the most they can win in one race... Knoxville or the Big One in Eldora... me and my parents go to Knoxville for the nationals every year for like 8 years now... they dont make near as much as any other racer, and late models are even worse... for their big circuit the most they win is 50k a race i think.... and that's when they are here...

on the tires thing.... uhm, F1 cars are a lot harder on tires than NASCAR. Maybe NASCAR needs better tires?

                                      A couple fun facts

Did you know when a Formula 1 driver lifts his foot off the foot pedal at 300kph (185mph), his racecar will slow at over 1G just due to the aerodynamic drag - a rate equivalent to the maximum braking of a typical road car. By the time he has put his foot on the brake pedal, and the brakes have heated up to their working temperature, the car will have slowed by 200kph and the brakes will add around 4G to the effort to slow the car, instantaneously absorbing over 2500hp.Just over 2 seconds later, he will be travelling at 100kph (60mph), and ready to ease off the brake pedal as he approaches the apex to the second gear corner ahead. A current Formula One car is capable of a transverse acceleration of up to 4G, whereas a road car does not exceed 1G.

Did you know that The tyres of a F1 car have to be filled with air with 0% moisture or the moisture will have an impact on the expanded volume at operating temperature. The optimum tyre temperature of an F1 car is about 90`C

Automatic transmissions are prohibited in the technical regulations, and most of the drivers use semi-automatic. He simply presses a button on the side of his steering wheel. This allows the driver to change gear in one or two hundredths of a second!

Automatic transmissions are prohibited in the technical regulations, and most of the drivers use semi-automatic. He simply presses a button on the side of his steering wheel. This allows the driver to change gear in one or two hundredths of a second!

0% moisture is used in nascar too because otherwise as soon as the tire temp. reads 212 degrees the pressure would sky rocket...so that one basically applies to all "higher" types of racing...and as i said, semi-auto push button = cheating...and as i said before, the only thing f1 drivers got on nascar drivers is the ability to withstand higher g-force...where as nascar drivers dont deal with g-force as much (wait, what about bristol??? 😉 ) and have the ability to not need driving aids to actually keep a car under control.
