Well I have never had to use a boost controler before, cuz my turbo now had a differnt actuator that runs the correct boost. Anyways, I want to know what I should get, there are a ton of them. Adv/Dis adv of the boost controllers. I can spend up to 400 bucks if there is a reason too, but if there isn't then I won't. I have an external wastegate with a 9psi Spring in it and I want to increase the boost to 18psi and that is it... but I don't want boost spikes and or drops in boost for any reason. Just want to run this boost and leave it there. Is there better contorlers for quicker spool or is that just a bunch of crap, and if you know alot about this, try to explain how differnt ones work. They range from like 50-400. Thanks in advance for any information.

Just save your money and pick up a SLS MBC. Cheap and effective.

True, but if you want to be able to make real time adjustments and change the boost settings from inside the car, an ebc might be better.

well once it is set I don't plan on changing it.... that is what i was trying to say... is there certin contorlers that have better responce or lack boost spikes or will a simple boost controler do that for me no problem?

What are the advantages of the electronic boost controlers?

If you dont plan on ever changing boost whatsoever, just get an 18 psi spring for the WG.

What is the flange like? Maybe you will be better suited w/ a TiAL wastegate. I have never been a fan of turbonetics wastegates.

I want a tial wastegate, but I already have the turbonetics one, ... is there anything wrong with the turbonetics one? Any info would be great... I am having nick weld a flange on there anyways for the turbo I'm sure it wouldnt be too hard to reweld a flange on there for a tial wastegate... just more money for no reason ya know... but ya give me some info

how accurate are those tial wastegate springs? if i get one that is 17-18psi is it going to be right on the nuts? one more thing, is there going to be wastegate creep without a boost controller?

That's a 35/38mm flange. Boost control w/ just a WG spring, especially a tial WG, is ROCK STEADY.

hum... size wise is there a difference? like will I have a clearance issue with the tial one? cuz this is premade and stuff. Rock steady huh, sounds like the ticket, it will be an extra 150 from what I can tell. so... could maybe do it.

Tial 38mm should only be 250 some dollars if I remember right.

well i figure i could sell the other wastegate on ebay for about 75-100 and i was going to spend like 50 on a boost controller... and the tial is about 275 with the spring I need. so about 100-150 extra dollars see my thinking lol

bigger=less chance of boost creep and most likely better control...

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

I would like to know for fit, not for boost control, I know both will be fine for flow cuz I'll be pushin 300hp at the max, I think my 1.3L block can only handle 340 before it is about to break.
