maybe if they had more driver skill they could use the same tires the whole race :p:eek::p:eek::pwow...thats just like saying "your wrx can get the same distance in 5 gallons as my honda insite can...thats only if you have enough driver skill though"
-
no, its like saying my wrx tires can last as long as a honda insights can if I am a good enough driver.
-
if he had enough skill to find a really really long downhill portion he could

-
well, last year F1 could make tire changes (3 I think, someone wanna chime in on this that knows for sure), they found a way to run w/o a tire change...they did it through research and driver skill
-
Dirt track is fun....probably because i have family that races sprint cars....and my dads bar sponsers alot of SuperStock and Modified Cars
-
yeah real spendy....and you dont really make alot of money doing it....even if you are really good.
I don't remember for sure...but for my cousin to get on with the World Of Outlaws it was gonna cost him $100k for a Contract.

yeah and that's the most they can win in one race... Knoxville or the Big One in Eldora... me and my parents go to Knoxville for the nationals every year for like 8 years now... they dont make near as much as any other racer, and late models are even worse... for their big circuit the most they win is 50k a race i think.... and that's when they are here...

hmm...I didnt think they won that much...but your probably right.

A couple fun facts
Did you know when a Formula 1 driver lifts his foot off the foot pedal at 300kph (185mph), his racecar will slow at over 1G just due to the aerodynamic drag - a rate equivalent to the maximum braking of a typical road car. By the time he has put his foot on the brake pedal, and the brakes have heated up to their working temperature, the car will have slowed by 200kph and the brakes will add around 4G to the effort to slow the car, instantaneously absorbing over 2500hp.Just over 2 seconds later, he will be travelling at 100kph (60mph), and ready to ease off the brake pedal as he approaches the apex to the second gear corner ahead. A current Formula One car is capable of a transverse acceleration of up to 4G, whereas a road car does not exceed 1G.
Did you know that The tyres of a F1 car have to be filled with air with 0% moisture or the moisture will have an impact on the expanded volume at operating temperature. The optimum tyre temperature of an F1 car is about 90`C
Automatic transmissions are prohibited in the technical regulations, and most of the drivers use semi-automatic. He simply presses a button on the side of his steering wheel. This allows the driver to change gear in one or two hundredths of a second!

That's why F1>nascar

0% moisture is used in nascar too because otherwise as soon as the tire temp. reads 212 degrees the pressure would sky rocket...so that one basically applies to all "higher" types of racing...and as i said, semi-auto push button = cheating...and as i said before, the only thing f1 drivers got on nascar drivers is the ability to withstand higher g-force...where as nascar drivers dont deal with g-force as much (wait, what about bristol???
) and have the ability to not need driving aids to actually keep a car under control. -

The "only" thing a f1 driver has on a nascar driver is withstanding g-force??
I'd venture to say that the only thing that they have that is close to being even is some of the g-forces, otherwise the vehicles are completely different. An the drivers are night and day. I realize that all these drivers are accomplihed road racers in classes that we've never heard of before, but drivign around a big track for a few years straight, might've dumbed them up a bit. Threre is no Factual way that you can say a nascar driver is better than a f1.Back to that dirt track, i agree, that is fun, and come-on, they're basicaly drifting the whole track and passing everyone all the time!!!! And the accidents, they have to make sure that their eyes are closed if they flip, otherwise their eyes may get popped out of socket, come-on that's awesome!!!

You know what? They are all exciting to watch. And all of the series' have some very talented drivers that stand out when compared to the others. They also seem to be the ones with a great team and excellent backing. I think Jeff Gordon has as much raw racing talent as Michael Schumacher. Heck, even Robby Gordon has some real talent Look how many baja races hes won. These are just a few names that imedialtely come to mind. I know there are ALOT of other very talented drivers out there some of which none of us have probably heard of. As far as physical talent and stamina goes. Put anyone of them on a bike for a moto gp or any other bike race with the likes of Valentino Rossi (spelling) or Nicky Hayden and see if they endure. What I'm getting at is they are all equally talented in there own ways and I wouldn't put one series in front of the other. It's all in personal preference. I have mutual admiration and respect for all of them.
