external wastgate

ok how do i hook my external wastgate up i have the tial 38mm what do the 2 air fittings go to (i was thinkin boost controler?) and the flange on the wastgate that doesnt bolt to the manifold does that just act as in external dump?

You don't actually need a wastegate. Its all a marketing ploy.....

the second flange on the wastegate is an atmospheric dump....the top vaccuum port is left open and the side port is tapped into the intake manifold at a vaccuum source

it goes on the line between the intake manifold and wastegate to control the pressure that the wastegate sees.

The vacuum port on the top of it is hooked up to your boost controller, which in turn is hooked up to a source of boost/vacuum(Intake manifold, compressor housing, etc)...

What side? The actual flanged part? The part we are staring at is the Dump side...

OK, I'm confused what you are asking I guess. There are the 2 flanges one is for inlet, one is for dump...

yea and there are 2 ports for air one on the very top and one the back side by the exhaust inlet

Ok, NM I know what he's saying...the side port one is connected to like the compressor housing or some source BEFORE the throttle plate, and the top one is for a boost controller...

ok so i need to drill and tap a hole in my compressor housing and put a fitting in it right?

NO. Leave the top one alone. Put your boost controller inline with the side vacuum port on the wastegate.
