Anyone have any experience with the supercharged 3800 series engines? My 93 bonneville isn't boosting and I want to find out why.

i have a friend with i think its a 03 bonnie sc, and he said he wasnt boosting at all, took it into the dealer and they said it was something with the pully on the supercharger, i donno if he knew what he was talking about or not, but its fixed now...
not sure if that helps at all...but i tried

well if it's not boosting the blower either isn't spinning or it's leaking boost somewhere. Is the blower pulley keyed onto the shaft or is it a hub setup? Pulley isn't slipping on the shaft is it? Or, belt slipping on the pulley? (I would expect in a stock setup it'd only do that if the bearings were shot)

There is some kinda boost regulator thingamabob (actual technical term) on the passenger side up front its held down with a couple of bolts i think. This is one of the more common places for the 3.8 SC motor to have a problem. My brothers GTP had teh same problem you just gotta loosen the bolts a bit push it down as hard as you can then tighten the bolts again. There is more involed but its been a long time since i did it and i don't remember much but you should be able to find the procedure on those forums I would think.

I didn't get time to look at it, but my supercharger isn't working. Makes no bad noises, the bypass valve is working perfect, so I am quite confused. A guy on the bonneville club forum said to check the couplerin the supercharger, its a plastic coupler that connects the nose shaft to the supercharger screws. Apperently it only lasts 70-120k miles and since my car has over 180K it may have broken and thus my superchager won't work. So I am going to take the nose section off of it monday or tuesday.
I was mainly wondering if anyone had any experience with these engines.

you never noticed no boost before you bought it?That totally sucks.
I baught it at a auction, and didn't get to drive it before buying it. I did get a pretty good deal and am very happy with the car. I always figured the boost controler was bad, and I finally had time to go through the car, I guess it was a little more. I found a SC for $150 so that should solve my problem.
