have you ever looked into any of the adhesives they use in autobody. 3m, lord fusor, evercoat and valvoline all make really good products. probly the best would be the evercoat since that one dont take a special gun, just a typical calking gun is all you need.

you will need to track down the previous owner and see if they will get you a title. Otherwise if you can not find the owner or they refuse to give you a title, your out of luck. Mike

That would be second gen actually, but first generation of the GSR if that is what you are saying. If it is OBD-1 tho, i would think that they are the same, but i don't know to much about them eh.

"Nearly" crankwalk proof...lol.....that's ok...sounds like torbs has a good deal for me so it sounds like torbs's 3 year project is going to be my 3 month project. Dad is an aircraft mechanic and a major gear head so it sounds like I might be able to get the motor/transmission put in fairly soon as soon as I get down there. I'm stoked...lol

sounds like big dolla's to me, u could prolly do a used single set up for 3k w/ a new turbo motor prolly 3-5k depends what u get used new stuff high end stuff cheap stuff then after all that the tranny blows up than right after u get a built tranny in the the rear end shoots parts all over the track u also have to remeber fuel system isnt cheap bigger mass air a chip for tuning at least if i was to do it all over again i would get a built aod tans. 3.73's with a spool and 31 spline axles, adjustable upper and lower control arms a stock block with girdle stock crank stock rods, better pistons custom grind cam hardend push rods 1.6-1.7 rollers rocker trick flow track heat heads or afr's 185's maybe bigger, prolly a carb intake w/ injector bungs 90mm throttle body 3-4 inch univer blow through mass 42lb injectors better fuel rails 255 fuel pump, and get a decent set of headers and bring the car to sls and have nick make me up a better single turbo set up w/ 67mm-70mm t4 turbo then wrap it all up with a diablo chip and tuning from dynotune with decent tires theres no way u couldnt runs mid to high 10's and not exactly brake the bank if u keep the boost low and make 450-475 hp it sould last a decent amount of time if u keep the rpms down and dont beat the piss out of it everyday and be a decent daily driver, but u gotta keep it off the snow

FWIW, the battery won't hold a charge at all. Joel trickle charged it for me and it still didn't hold enough juice to start my car.

Yeah, After reading many reviews it sounds like a lot of trouble and a money pit, I'll just be lookin for a TSI next summer and enjoy the slow ass ride that fallows behind the 1.8 for now. I was also wondering does anyone know about hacking the air can of the 1.8s? I know there is really no change but I hear it makes it louder so if anyone has somekind of instructions PM me please. Thanks

If you're thinking about going FWD to AWD whether it be 1G or 2G, it's not worth the time and money, just sell the car and buy a different one. Same goes for turning a NT 2G into a 4G63 2G. But if you're talking about turboing a 1G NT, then you can just use all the turbo parts and do it that way, that's not too terribly expensive.

Try jumpering the switch first. BTW, pressure switches are not that expensive
