have you ever looked into any of the adhesives they use in autobody. 3m, lord fusor, evercoat and valvoline all make really good products. probly the best would be the evercoat since that one dont take a special gun, just a typical calking gun is all you need.

i'm just afraid of screwing up the board... I remember in Auto, miller always told us to ground some part of our body when working around ECU's/boards and a bunch of other stuff that I dont remember. with all those precautions u have to take, I can only assume u have to be really careful and I dont wanna mess up this ecu since I found a really good deal on it.

Wow, Bell tightened my converter for ~$175. $400 must have included more than a stall adjustment? Tony, talk to JJ at Bell and tell him I sent you. :icon_cyclops:

I don't have any rotary-specific experience but the first thing I'd look at is the electrical and the fuel system. Check your plugs, plug wires. If you're smelling unburned fuel maybe you have a sticking/leaky injector. A bottle of fuel system cleaner might be beneficial.

Try disconnecting the switch and taping up the connector. That should also turn off the light.

treimche wrote: I can tell you exactly why it broke like that............ it's a DSM! That's what they do. LOL. I never had a timing belt f-up on mine.. Belt probably wasn't tensioned correctly or your tensioner went bad. When you were changing speeds of the engine, the belt probably got some slack and jumped/skipped/ripped itself apart.

The IAC slider in the ecu might be off now trying to compensate for that as well. Try resetting the ECU, I don't think it will matter, but give it a shot. If anything we can adjust the IAC in the eeprom at a later date.
