have you ever looked into any of the adhesives they use in autobody. 3m, lord fusor, evercoat and valvoline all make really good products. probly the best would be the evercoat since that one dont take a special gun, just a typical calking gun is all you need.

I think its one of the sensors, but with that wiring mess you don't know if things are connected right. Hell, just pull the motor and put a sbc in the car. Well I think I figured it out...I rewired the IAT again (actually using the right set of wires :))...so that's working fine. I think that may have been what's been causing my bad mpg...a obd2 IAT on an OBD1 ECU. The car still idle surges, but I think I figured that out too. The bolt that keeps the the throttle on the TB from going back too far (it rests on this bolt when you are idling) is down too far. It seems as though I can't get a allen wrench in it because it's been puttied for some reason...so, I temporarily just tightened the throttle cable a bit. I have a B16 TB to put on it...just need to buy the gasket and all that good stuff... Also, another thing I noticed is that I can't find any wiring for the radiator fan...I know this time of year it really doesn't matter too much...but it would still be nice to know that if it's needed, that it's there and functional...so I may just be buying a slim fan here and hardwiring that in... Also, I did check the FITV and it is working properly. Just gata fix a couple small things and it'll all be good to go.

The crx is fixed and back on the street!:icon_thumleft: The pedal assembly turned out to be the problem. It kept bending from my Exedy cable cutch untill it broke. Then when I got it back together my starter went out, so I got a new starter in it. It works great! Thanks for the help, and support guys.

ok, ya they have a lot of junk cars. there are a shit loads of lots around here like that. they are in every city. on another note, YOU, as a buyer are fully responsible and have every right to bring the car in question to buy to a respectable mechanic/technician and have the vehicle inspected. I see cars on a daily basis that come in with problems that were "just purchased" and find out how much of a junker the car really is. EVERYONE needs to stop waisting their money and time with crappy cars and have them inspected FOR YOUR SAFETY. Spend the $25-50 and have the car looked at. It will save you tons of headaches, let alone money later.

So you just grinded into reverse? Did you pull it out of a forward gear right before you stuck it in reverse or did you just start the car and never let the clutch up and stick it in reverse?

ALL TH400's have the exact same size/spline count on the input side. The only other trans that used this size was a few select Muncie transmissions. Ex, M21 & M22 (rockcrusher).

Sturdevant's FTMFW! They got the dye very very close, so it looks almost perfect, and it was $12. So after a day and a half of them mixing dye, it's done.
