have you ever looked into any of the adhesives they use in autobody. 3m, lord fusor, evercoat and valvoline all make really good products. probly the best would be the evercoat since that one dont take a special gun, just a typical calking gun is all you need.

it's not hard i just hate doing it.... i suppose i contradicted myself a little bit when i said clutches are never really that hard but trannys are always a bitch.... so i can see why you'd be a little confused.... but usually when i think tranny im thinking automatic...and well i've never liked dealing with those much at all, manuals are lighter, smaller much easier to work with....it still only took me about 3 hours to replace the tranny in my civic and it wasn't hard at all.....so a manual being smaller and lighter once you resurface the flywheel put the clutch on the flywheel and put the tranny in....shouldn't really take that long, it's not hard at all.....but i still hate doing it with all that asbestos crap and the fact my old tranny had a huge hole in it so i was covered in atf all while putting the new used one in

i am the one that put the bug into his head about the L-67 swap. and to be honest it is not as bad as what it being made out to be. the first resource http://www.l67swap.com/ it is not that exact URL anymore do to changes, but it can and has been done. motorswap.org is what the banners say on that sight now. there is a 96 grand prix in the twin cities area that has had the swap for years now. drives it races it and shows it. there is/was a couple 95-99 monte with it done as well. they were somewhere in MN as well. not to forget if you hit up www.clubgp.com there are a few on there that have done the L-67 swap into various GM cars. from fiero's to cutlass's, prix's, even a ciera had the swap done to it. so it is possible. that first link though should provide you with alot of good info as far as what is needed. might even score some help or info on a Monte forum. not saying a newb can do it, just saying it can be done and is not as bad as what it is being made out to be. maf cleaning is apparently a way of life for some VW owners. search vwvortex for info. Also, does your car have the 4 pin connector? I've got a VAG-COM we can hook up if you have the 4pin->OBD2 adapter plug.

I wanted to do a 5-speed swap because I hate automatics but I heard it's not worth it. Easier and cheaper to sell this and buy a 5-speed but then again once I sell this i'm not going back to a sunfire or cavi for that matter

But I'm like the 100th person on mazda6club.com this has happened to, some people have even broken the housing around the bolts. It's under warranty and I'm mostly stock so it shouldn't be a problem. I'll find out this morning.

Sweet-WRX-Lovin;179649 wrote: Right on. How you liking the new drop for handling? I was surprised. Just the springs made a bigger difference in handling than I expected. There is considerably less body roll and the handling seems fairly neutral. I was expecting to need some adjustable shocks before it started really handling well, but the way it feels now I might get more mileage out of some beefy sway bars first. I'm rolling on Falken Azenis 225's and the only way I'd feel safe exploring the limits of this setup is on a track, so we'll see after I get it out to brainerd or auto-x. And for looks, these springs are dead on. Fender gap is perfectly even. Not slammed - just right. Looks like it should have from the factory.

Seeing as some people here have sand in the manginas, I will throw out some suggestions. Look at www.fueleconomy.gov and find that gets you the best MPG and what looks the best. You can sort by mileage, type, whatever.

Finally got to put a walbro fuel pump in my trans am. It now does not have a fuel cut issue. But I have noticed a new problem, it seems to lose power after hitting 80mph, my motor is running perfect and not missing a beat and the turbo holds at about 17psi, but it lacks top end power big time. Any ideas?
